Gondia. With the active participation of the Gondia Forest Department, Sewa Sanstha, and other non-governmental organizations, like every year this time also the crane count is being done in the district from June 18. On the same day, this enumeration is being done on water bodies in the Bhandara district as well.

The stork bird census is being done in the Bhandara district by the Forest Department, Service Organization, and SEAT Organization. This enumeration is being done from 5 am to 9 am. Stork counting is done by traditional and scientific methods. Due to this, the population estimation remains reliable.

Significantly, the stork birds are now visible only in the Gondia and Bhandara districts in the state of Maharashtra. Apart from this, they exist in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh.

70 to 80 Saras Mitra, farmers, and service organization members, and 40 to 50 officers and employees of the Gondia Forest Department and Balaghat South and North Forest Division are participating in the enumeration. So that correct and reliable conclusions can be drawn during the calculation and the path of stork conservation could be easy and sure. This calculation is done under the guidance of the Forest Department Service Organization and other non-governmental organizations. Available figures will be released after the count. With this, the correct analysis of the present condition of the rare stork bird and its correct number will be revealed.
