Ulhasnagar: Goods train stopped between Badlapur and Ambernath, affecting railway movement
Ulhasnagar: On Monday morning, a freight train travelling
from Badlapur to Mumbai CST station was halted between the Badlapur-Ambernath
segment due to a technical issue. As a result, local and postal express trains
on the upline were halted for more than an hour.
Suburban local trains and postal express traffic on the upline between Karjat and Badlapur stations were impacted, according to railway officials.
"At 8.40 a goods train stopped between Up
Karjat-Badlapur section," Central Railway said in a statement. This had an
impact on upward suburban local trains and UP Mail Express traffic. To clear
the halted goods train, an auxiliary engine was dispatched to Badlapur. Sorry
for the inconvenience caused by the passengers."
